DESIGN / PROFESSIONAL
I worked with CarrotNewYork’s Director of Education, Filiz Soyak. She first explained to me the different topics she wanted the graphic to depict. I sketched out some possible layouts and then brought those ideas into Illustrator. After many drafts, and a lot of feedback from Filiz, I finally created the final infographic. My infographic is the first one that CarrotNewYork has ever created. This fresh new graphic will be shown to potential clients.
This is the back of a card that will be used for a Many Hands Media board game. The game is meant to teach children about the four food groups. The board features small circles as each space. I used this element on the card as well. All work was done in Illustrator.
The USDA Outdoor Activities packet was a collaborative effort between me and CarrotNewYork’s graphic designer, Patty Dwyer. For this USDA project I was told what each page was going to be about and was given the copy. Other than that, I had a lot of freedom with the design. Like with the business cards (which were a part of this campaign as well) branding was very important.
Go to linkThis infographic will be used by CarrotNewYork to help them encourage the use of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) curriculum in the education of girls. I worked with another intern to research information on women in STEM and took that information into Illustrator. I chose a longer layout so it would read like a story when you see it on the web. The arrows clearly state where the eye should go next. I wanted the colors to be fresh and vibrate, but not to feminine.
This was one of the first projects I worked on as an intern at CarrotNewYork. All the work was done in Illustrator. I used a clipping path to make Dr. Rabbit appear in that circle, as well as a custom gradient to create the backdrop. The banner is used for Colgate’s Bright Smiles Bright Futures campaign.
DESIGN / UNDERGRADUATE
I developed a logo for a fake product I created called Flavor Drops. Along with the logo, I had to write a creative brief on the product, which you can see below.
After learning about effective ways to layout a flyer, the class was told to create a flyer for an event of our choice. I choose cool colors to go with the theme of the band. The band's name and the date are the largest font to show their importance. The figures in front are made by using pen strokes in illustrator. I also edited the background picture in Photoshop to give it a grungy look.
CAMPAIGNS / UNDERGRADUATE
This campaign was done for a non-profit organization called Project Grace. Live Your Will's mission is to spread awareness to Generation Y on the importance of making a Living Will. This fully integrated campaign features videos, social media promotion, guerilla marketing, promotional products and an event.
Go to linkThe iheartteachers campaign is made to promote a website that will give teachers various resources to help ease their problems. Our client stressed how busy teachers' schedules are. Our campaign focused on easing the stress in teachers' lives. We focus on direct mail, guerilla marketing, web advertisements and a YouTube contest. The full campaign can be seen by clicking the link below.
Go to linkCreative freedom was dominate in this piece. The reason for the campaign was to create an advertisement representing yourself. The key message I wanted to convey was that I am more than just a resume filled with skills and experience. I am also a person with a charismatic personality, which would make me desirable by employers. The "serious. fun." concept fuses determination and charisma. I also created the graphics, which shows my wit and graphic design ability.
